The processor is the state-of-the-art solution to meet almost all requirements of modern sound design in contemporary applications. Designed for Commercial application, the LAPG2 is the new DSP audio Matrix for big paging application and multi zone audio routing. According to its powerful audio numerical signal treatment and its new audio I/O boards, the LAPG2 can easily be used in an exigent environment requiring high audio quality.
In order to fully utilise the LAP-G2 system Eiger Solutions has written two programmes.
1. Call Station Programme.
The Call Station programme connects to a LAP-G2 controller through the TCP/IP port. It uses Third Party technology within the LAP-G2 Controller to control audio routing and other aspects of audio control.
The programme uses a User interface which is fully configerable by the User and can have a plan of the building or site in the background.
The screen can contain individual Zone buttons or Group buttons which can set a group of Zones. All buttons can be positioned whereever the User wants them.
It can also play messages stored either in the PC or the LAP-G2 Controller.
If IDAs are attached to the system then Fault and Zone status information can be displayed on the screen. There is a limitation in that the Programme cannot connect to a LAP-G2 which has an IDA connected via RS232 as the Programme uses RS232 to connect to the IDA.
The programme has several versions at present.
Very Basic Call Station - connects to a single LAP controller to control Third Party Elements within the LAP-G2 Controller.
Basic Call Station - connects to a system containing several LAP-G2 Controllers.
Advanced Call Station - connects to a LAP-G2 system contaning several LAP-G2 Controllers with Fault/Busy status displaying on the PC screen.
Avanced Call Station (2) - The same as Advanced Call Station except that there is a separate PC which connects to the IDA to give Fault/Busy status. This has the advantage that several PCs can be used as Call Stations on the same system (as long as they are not used at the same time) and the Fault/Busy status is obtained by the 'Server PC' and sent to all the connected PCs.
Future Development - The 'Server PC' connects to the LAP-G2 Controllers and the IDAs to control every element of the Call Stations so that there is limited conflict between Call Stations.
